On july 21st Google unofficially released a new update to it's local search algorithm. This update was first noticed by one of the nation's and St. Louis's SEO expert. While he was unsure of the full ramifications of this update he did say this, "It's a good idea to pick one of those URLs as your preferred (canonical) destination, and use 301 redirects to send traffic from the other URLs to your preferred URL. A server-side 301 redirect is the best way to ensure that users and search engines are directed to the correct page."
